Clubs & Societies

Joining a club or society provides an excellent way to integrate, socialise and meet with other students outside of the lecture theatre. By becoming actively involved you will develop your social network by meeting up with like-minded peers as well as working towards obtaining your educational qualifications. The clubs’ and societies’ officers’ have a key role in assisting students in the setting up, organising and running of the clubs and societies. If you want to know anything about any of the available groups that appeal to your taste please don’t hesitate to call into the Students’ Union office where we will aid you as best we can. The institute has a range of successful clubs and societies, and is always open the prospect of new groups. So if there isn’t anything on the clubs and societies’ list that interests you and you feel it might work then why not consider setting a new group up, if you have the ideas, we have the tools to help you in your endeavour and we will be happy to aid you any way we can. Funding is available from a capitation fund provided there is adequate membership and interest in the group.

Where do I sign??

During September (Date to be announced) there will be a Club’s and Society’s day run in the Multi-Purpose Hall. At this event there will be a range of new and old club’s and society’s enlisting new members.
